Today I found myself going through old work as I prep material for a big project I’m doing.
Sometimes when we’re about to do something new we question it.
We question our own abilities.
We question if we’re ‘allowed’ to.
Looking back at old work reminded me that I have always been an artist. I’ve always been drawn to this creation of beautiful things . . . even before I was ‘good’ I loved it.
My soul was an artist before my mind understood.
While new things can bring new chances to fail, new difficulties, and humbling experiences it will never change who we truly are.
Our divine value and infinite worth is ever constant.
You are allowed to start something, anything!
You’re allowed to be bad at it!
You’re allowed to grow as you shoot for the ideal.
Don’t question if you can or if your good enough or if you fit the mold.
It doesn’t matter.
What does matter is you, you doing and being and becoming.
Maybe we’d have a lot less broken dreams if we could remember this . . .
Huge thanks to the first person that wasn’t my younger sisters who let me branch out and stretch my creative muscles. Thanks to you, Melissa, I’m a better artist ❤️
Love,
Melinda
