I hope on dark days you look to the light . . .
and I hope you realize some of that light shines in you.
Yeah, it's a poetic line to start with but it's none the less true.
Cold, gloomy, cloudy days are here.
I try not to be negative but I also try to always be honest . . . and honestly, I'm not a big fan of this time of year.
I don't like being cold.
I don't like it being cooped up indoors.
I feel tired and low energy.
However, this time of year rings in a time of gratitude and service. We're presented with opportunities to serve and love others.
And when we do that, we make the world a little brighter.
So for me, looking to the light, the call to see past the gloom of the world (both real and metaphorical), isn't just a pretty phrase. Its the ONLY way I can make it through when times are less than sunshine and rainbows.
It reminds me that sometimes we have to make our own light . . . or maybe we have to move out of the way and stop creating a shadow.
I know many struggle this time of year.
Know my studio lights are always on, you'll always be greeted with warmth and smiles, and even if you can't see light and goodness in you, we do.
Tiffany, thank you for being a beautiful light for Lindsay and I. You shine!
